Eligibility & Passengers
You are eligible to join the Society of Mayflower Descendants if you can document your descent from one or more of the passengers on the Mayflower voyage of 1620 that terminated on the shores of New England at Plymouth. The following Mayflower passengers are known to have left proven descendants. As of January 1, 2010 all passengers on the Mayflower can be used for membership or supplemental applications. (Note: for some passengers, their given name was not recorded--they are listed as Mrs. along with their husband's name.)

IDENTIFYING MAYFLOWER PASSENGERS' DESCENDANTS
The following is a quote from General Mayflower Society about the Five Generations Book Project.
"The Five Generation Project Books contain detailed sources to support each generation, which are found at the end of each generation. Because these books have been approved and published by the General Society Mayflower Descendants, an applicant to the Mayflower Society needs only to prove back to the last ancestor listed in these books. "
A surname index search of the Five Generations Project Books can be found here. This search can help you find the connecting surnames that are your Ancestors.
A reference copy of the Five Generations books is available at the Seattle Public Library central branch. Other locations may be found by using WorldCat. A link is located here. Enter "mayflower family (lastname)" in the search window to find a location for your needed book.
